Amangalla- Galle, Sri Lanka

Amangalla is a resort found in the historic part of Galle. Amangalla is laid on the 17th century Galle Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The resort is popularly known for Fort’s interesting activities and for its rich legacy that includes the narrow streets where building built in the colonial era of Dutch and British is still being used, most of them being 400 years old. It was said that the buildings were being used as headquarters for the Dutch and as billet for the British soldiers. Going to Amagalla have been attracting tourists who are interested in exploring Sri Lanka’s history.
